Welcome to Pleasant View

A community that feels less like a facility, and more like family.

We began as a single farmhouse home in 1955. Today we’re a thriving non-profit Life Plan community nestled in the rolling hills of northern Lancaster County.

Whether your mom or dad is looking for a maintenance-free cottage, a little daily help, or skilled nursing close to loved ones, Pleasant View brings the very best of faith-based living and modern health care together, so the right care is always right here, as needs change over time.

“You belong here.”

For Adult Children

Helping Mom or Dad? You’re not alone.

Choosing senior living for a parent is one of the most loving, and overwhelming, decisions a family makes. We’ll walk it with you, at your pace, with no pressure and clear answers.

  • One campus, every level of care. No disruptive moves across town if needs change.
  • Non-profit & faith-based. Our mission, not shareholders, guides every decision.
  • A team that knows them by name. Familiar, caring staff in a close-knit community.

What is a Life Plan community?

A Life Plan community (also called a CCRC) offers independent living plus on-site personal care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and memory support. As needs change, residents move seamlessly between levels of care without leaving the community they love.

How do we start the conversation?

Begin with a no-obligation visit or a phone call at 717.665.2445. We’ll listen to your family’s needs, tour the options that fit, and answer questions about availability and costs, on your timeline.

Can my parent stay if their health changes?

Yes, that’s the heart of a Life Plan community. From a little daily help to skilled nursing or memory care, the right support is already on campus, surrounded by familiar faces.

Is Pleasant View pet-friendly?

Absolutely. Our cottages and many apartments welcome pets, because for many residents, a companion is part of the family.

I don’t think you’re going to find this anywhere, this is what we’ve been looking for. We’ve created our own little oasis here.
